1. The consultation. At the Bedford Hills office your provider studies the shape of your lips, their anatomy and how they sit in proportion to the rest of your face, then asks what you are after: crisp definition, a little hydration, more volume or something in between.
2. The treatment. It takes 15 to 30 minutes. Filler goes along the lip border for definition, into the Cupid’s bow and the philtrum columns above it for shape, and in micro-droplets or fine threads wherever only a touch is wanted, and it is blended smooth as it goes. Kept in proportion

The first three days

Swelling, tenderness and some bruising are normal for 24 to 72 hours, and the lips settle completely over 10 to 14 days. Cold compresses, a gentle balm, plenty of water and sleeping with your head slightly raised all help. Stay away from straws, spicy or salty food, hard workouts, lipstick, strong heat and direct sun, and do not massage your lips unless your injector has asked you to.
