It is a scatter of hamlets — Cross River, Goldens Bridge, South Salem, Vista and Waccabuc — spread between I-684 and the Connecticut line, so how far Bellava is depends on which one you call home. Our office is at 182 Route 117 Bypass Road in Bedford Hills, and these are the drives without traffic:

• Cross River: about 13 minutes, west along Route 35 through Katonah.
• South Salem, where the town centre keeps its post office, town hall and library: about 16 minutes, also by Route 35.
• Waccabuc, beside the Three Lakes: about 23 minutes, by Route 138 and I-684.
• Vista, in the south of the town near the Connecticut line: about 27 minutes, by Route 123 and Route 35.
• Goldens Bridge, right on the interstate, is closer still and has a page of its own.

The surgeon

Chang Soo Kim, MD is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He earned his medical degree at the Yale School of Medicine, completed his residency in plastic surgery at Yale–New Haven Hospital and belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He also introduced the Sciton Joule laser system to Connecticut, and he pairs laser and radiofrequency technology with traditional surgery. He describes his philosophy as bringing out a patient’s natural beauty, not changing it.

The consultation, the operation in Bellava’s own surgical suite — accredited by The Joint Commission — and every check-up afterwards all happen at the same Bedford Hills address. A tummy tuck or a facelift is an outpatient procedure here, so the first night of recovery is spent at home in Lewisboro rather than on a hospital ward.

Not everyone who comes in needs surgery. The injector team, led by Donna D’Alessio, MD, offers Botox and dermal fillers under the same roof, and Dr. Kim will say so when a lighter treatment would do.
