Start with the reason

Two women can ask for exactly the same thing, larger breasts, and need quite different plans, because they are asking for different reasons. Small all along

For this group the job is proportion. The aim is a bust that suits your shoulders, ribcage and hips rather than a cup size picked from a chart, so Dr. Kim looks at how wide your chest is and how much tissue you already have. At the consultation you can wear sizers under your own clothes and judge a volume in the mirror. Not every woman here wants a big change: some are after more fullness at the cleavage, or in the upper part of the breast, with the overall size left much as it is.

Two breasts that differ

Volume lost to pregnancy, nursing or weight loss

Timing. Dr. Kim’s guidance is to wait until at least six months after you finish breastfeeding.
Volume or position? An implant restores fullness but does not raise a breast that has dropped. If yours have, a breast lift may belong in the plan as well.

Silicone or saline, the implant goes over or under the chest muscle according to your breast size and shape, your skin and the implant chosen.
