Breast Augmentation for Yorktown Heights, NY
Implant volume, profile and type matched to your frame by Dr. Chang Soo Kim, about 18 minutes east of Yorktown Heights.

Nobody orders a cup size
Women often arrive at a first consultation with a cup size in mind. It is a useful starting point, but it is not something a surgeon can order. Implants are made by volume, in cubic centimetres, and the same volume can look generous on one woman and modest on the next. Turning the size you picture into the right implant is the real work of planning, and Dr. Chang Soo Kim does it with you at Bellava in Bedford Hills, about eight miles from Yorktown Heights, or around 18 minutes without traffic along Routes 202 and 35.
Four things that decide how the result looks
- The implant’s volume. How much it adds, measured in cc.
- What you already have. Your own breast tissue sits over the implant and shapes how it reads.
- The width of your chest. A broad frame carries a given volume differently from a narrow one.
- The implant’s profile. How far it projects from the chest; at the consultation, sizers show you several volumes and profiles side by side.
Because of all four, some women discover they want more upper fullness and a little cleavage rather than a dramatic jump in size, and the plan can be built around exactly that.
Saline or silicone, thought about over years
- Saline implants are filled with sterile salt water. They go in through a smaller incision and need no long-term monitoring. They feel firmer and ripple more. If one leaks you will know, because that breast becomes smaller over a few days.
- Traditional silicone uses a thinner, softer gel.
- Cohesive silicone gel, often called “gummy bear”, is more stable and firmer, and ripples less.
Smooth, round implants are the most common choice. Shaped implants have a textured surface, so they shift less inside their pocket.
Where the scar goes
Dr. Kim performs most augmentations through an incision in the crease beneath the breast. The scar is well hidden there, and it is the approach linked to the fewest complications. The alternatives, around the areola or in the armpit, are discussed if they suit you better.

Yorktown Heights patients ask
And if I would rather not have an implant at all? Then ask about using your own fat. Dr. Kim harvests it by liposuction and layers it into the breasts for a softer, more modest gain; our natural fat transfer augmentation page explains who it suits.
Do implants last for good? Bellava’s guidance is that an augmentation keeps its shape for ten years or more on average, though an implant may need replacing at some stage.
How do I arrange a consultation? It is never booked online. Send a request, call or text, and Bellava’s patient coordinator gets back to you to set it up. It is free. Read the main breast augmentation page and browse Dr. Kim’s results in the meantime.
