Microneedling for Bedford Village, NY
Scars, stretch marks, pores and sun damage improved with your skin’s own collagen, about ten minutes from the village green.

Start with the problem, not the device
Microneedling is often talked about as an all-purpose glow treatment, yet it earns its place when it is pointed at something particular. Bellava’s pens carry surgical-grade titanium or steel needles that prick the skin very gently, opening rows of microscopic channels. Your body reads those channels as something to mend and answers with fresh collagen and elastin, and that repair work carries on for months after the visit.
Concerns it is used for
- Scars left by acne, an injury or an operation
- Stretch marks, including those that follow a pregnancy
- Large pores and a dull, uneven complexion
- Sun spots, hyperpigmentation and discoloration
- Fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet
- Skin loosening around the eyes, the mouth and the jawline
Needle length can be set anywhere from 0.25 mm to 2.5 mm, and speed and pressure are adjusted too, so a shallow pass over thin skin and a deeper one over an old scar can be part of one session. Away from the face, the neck, décolletage, hands, arms, abdomen, buttocks and thighs are treated as well.
Who should wait
People of most skin types and ethnicities can be treated. A few are steered elsewhere or asked to wait: anyone prone to keloid scarring, anyone whose acne is very active, and some people with other skin disorders. Very sensitive skin may also be kept to the shorter needle lengths. Those decisions are made at the skin analysis that opens your first appointment.
How a course is built
For strong collagen growth with comfortable sessions, Bellava suggests three to six treatments four to six weeks apart, then maintenance every six to twelve months. Each session lasts 30 to 60 minutes once a numbing cream is on, and finishes with a calming serum or mask. Serums, hyaluronic acid or PRP prepared from your own blood can be worked into the fresh channels, and Vivace adds radiofrequency energy to the needles. Bellava’s membership includes a discount on Vivace packages, and the team gives guidance on skincare, sun protection and nutrition along the way.
Fitting it around village life
Expect pink skin for 12 to 48 hours, then some dryness and flaking over the days after as old skin comes away, so pick a date with nothing important straight after it. Stay out of direct sun for at least 48 hours; leave out makeup, exfoliants and hot showers for several days; and hold off on waxing, peels and laser treatments. From the village green, where the Bedford Free Library stands, Bellava is about ten minutes without traffic: north on Route 22, then Bedford Center Road and Harris Road to 182 Route 117 Bypass Road.
Bedford Village patients ask
Who performs it? Licensed medical estheticians Semira Crecco-Donnelly, who is certified in Vivace, and Natalina McEwan. Both perform PRP microneedling too.
When will I notice a change? Within about two weeks the skin usually starts to feel firmer and smoother, and it keeps improving across the course.
Should it come before or after Botox? Usually before. Bellava’s guidance is that microneedling first helps Botox and dermal fillers work better and last longer.
