Breast Lift
This procedure redefines the bust line to help achieve a more youthful looking figure.
Our Breast Lift Services
If you are bothered by sagging or aging breasts, a breast lift (or mastopexy) may be the answer. A breast lift is a safe and effective procedure that can enhance your femininity, redefine your bust and create a more youthful looking figure.
Changes due to age, gravity, heredity, weight loss, childbirth and breastfeeding can all cause the breasts to become droopy, lose volume or look deflated. At Bellava MedAesthetics & Plastic Surgery Center in Bedford Hills, our Westchester board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Chang Soo Kim has performed thousands of these procedures to help restore the shape and contour of the breasts through a variety of techniques. A breast lift typically includes removing excess skin, tightening the breast tissue and returning your breasts to a more “youthful” contour. Dr. Kim is a nationally renowned expert in breast lift surgeries, and you deserve the best.

Breast Lift FAQs
Does a breast lift procedure hurt?
A breast lift is performed with general anesthesia so you will not experience pain during the procedure, which usually takes about 1-3 hours. After surgery, you may experience mild discomfort due to swelling and bruising for a few days, although a support bra will help reduce the discomfort. After a short recovery, most women experience no pain or complications.
Can a breast lift be combined with other procedures?
Yes, a breast lift is often combined with a breast augmentation or breast reduction. A breast lift can enhance breasts that have been enlarge or reduced, enhancing the overall youthful, firm and perky shape.
Does a breast lift cause permanent scarring?
Scarring will occur after a breast lift procedure at the incision site. Gradually, over the next few months after the breast lift procedure, the scars will fade and be practically unnoticeable.
How long does a breast lift last?
Results can vary depending on each individual patient but most enjoy firm, youthful breasts for years after the breast lift procedure. Factors such as aging, pregnancy and gravity can cause the breasts to eventually sag again.
Can I undergo more than one breast lift procedure?
Yes. While a breast lift provides an effective lifting and firming of the breasts, they may sag again over time. At that time you may choose to have another breast lift.
When can I resume activities after a breast lift?
For the first few days you may have some pain and discomfort so it’s best to rest after a breast lift. However, you should get up and move around as much as possible. Most patients can return to work within a week or so after the procedure. Avoid heavy lifting and exercise for at least 2 weeks or more to allow proper healing.
