Pre-juvenation: The Latest Trend in Cosmetic Procedures

Feb 15, 2018

“Pre-juvenation” – it’s one of the latest buzzwords in the world of anti-aging and cosmetic procedures.

Members of the American Academy of Facial Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) agreed in a recent survey that the biggest trend for the future of facial plastic surgery is more emphasis on early maintenance, often starting in one’s 30s, to avoid larger procedures and delay the need for cosmetic surgery down the road. Think of pre-juvenation as a pre-emptive strike against the typical signs of aging such as wrinkles.

Popular pre-juvenation procedures at Bellava Cosmetic Surgery Center in Westchester include:

Botox/Dysport: These neurotoxins halt your forehead from creating creases. They also diminish the appearance of crow’s feet or frown lines, all of which can start forming as early as in one’s teens. At Bellava Plastic Surgery Center in Westchester, Botox/dysport injections are performed by our outstanding doctors, board-certified Westchester plastic surgeon Dr. C.S. Kim and expert injector Dr. Marc Epstein.

Microneedling with PRP Growth Factors
Carried out under the supervision of our Westchester plastic surgeon C.S. Kim, MD, microPen microneedling is combined with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), or Growth Factors to drastically improve skin texture and tone, as well as reduces wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne scars and dark spots. This procedure keeps skin retaining a dewy, youthful appearance and is similar to the “Vampire Facelift,” made popular by Kim Kardashian.

IPL/Photofacials: Performed by our expert aestheticians, these pulsed-light based treatments rejuvenate the skin by increasing the production of collagen and elastin. A series of IPLs can lighten age spots or sun spots; minimize fine lines and wrinkles; shrink enlarged pores; smoothing rough skin and more!
